Past Masters’ Dinner & Family Night

Last night a collection of past masters gathered and cooked dinner for the brethren and their families at the traditional Past Masters’ dinner. The event was very well attended and many brethren and guests brought their partners along. A delicious meal of slow-cooked beef was followed by a selection of pies and cream. Each past master present gave a short speech and each of the visitors introduced themselves as well. A thoroughly enjoyable evening was had by all.

Called meeting, dinner and turn-in

The brethren and guests met this week to enjoy fellowship and dinner in the Scottish Rite Theater. The stewards cooked Shrimp in a pesto, caper and cream sauce followed by Apple pie.

After dinner the brethren held a turn-in of a brother’s fellow craft work which was delivered exceptionally well, clearing the way to hold the brother’s Master Mason degree in the near future.

Family night and honoring our veterans

This week’s meeting was a family night with brethren bringing their partners and us all honoring and celebrating the service of both our veterans within the lodge and veterans generally. Several brethren have served in the forces including one with one of our allies, the Belgium armed forces. A moving tribute to all veterans was delivered in the Scottish Rite Theater and copies of the Constitution were available to brethren and guests who wanted a copy.

Our Junior Past Master wore his splendid army uniform for the event and is pictured below.

Ahead of the meeting, the attendees dined downstairs on spiced Pork chops with scalloped potatoes and beans.

Come along and join us on Tuesday evenings.
