Golden Trowel Award

The lodge met last night to convey the highly prestigious Golden Trowel award upon one of its long-standing members. Forest joined Freemasonry 63 years ago and at the tender age of 97 years old, is still an active contributing member. He is particularly well known for his not so subtle technique of selling raffle tickets, raising substantial amounts of money for good causes. Around 40 people gathered for socialise and enjoy a meal before taking their seats in the Scottish Rite Theater and hearing various tributes and annecdotes from his 63 years in masonry.

Hill City’s Worshipful Master presented him with a certificate and trophy and is pictured here with Forest and our District Deputy Grand Master.

Come and join us on Tuesday evenings from 6pm at the Scottish Rite Theater in Austin.

If the suit fits ……
